International nonprofit organization Faena Art announces the premiere Project Room exhibition of 2023 with Take This Waltz by Miami-based multi-disciplinary artist Christina Pettersson. On view in the Faena Art Project Room from January 20-February 24, 2023, the installation recalls the landscape of a primitive Miami Beach and the flora, fauna, and creatures that once inhabited its environment long before the city became the tourist destination of present. Conceived as an apocalyptic waltzing funeral procession, Take This Waltz pays homage to a gritty, fantastic underworld, exploring history, sociology, and environmental science through projection and puppetry.
