The 29th Annual City of Miami Golf Classic

The 29th Anniversary Golf Classic is in loving memory of Charles ”Charlie” DeLucca Jr., First Tee Miami Tournament Director and Benefactor of the Sandra DeLucca Developmental Center. DeLucca, in partnership with the City of Miami, spearheaded the creation of the Sandra DeLucca Developmental Center, which is named in honor of his daughter who suffered from severe developmental disabilities. The Center focuses on supporting specialized classrooms, technology, summer camps, and sports training programs to help educate individuals with disabilities through inclusive access to community-based educational, recreational, leisure and cultural activities that enhance quality of life and independence.

DeLucca founded the Annual City of Miami Golf Classic in 1991, and spent most of his life teaching children how to play golf and providing life learning skills for children and adults with special needs.

This year, the fundraising goal for the 29th Annual Golf Classic is to raise money to provide scholarships for individuals with disabilities to attend specialized programs at the Sandra DeLucca Developmental Center.
