Pat Croce opened Charlie Mac's in 2012. Named after Pat's grandsons Charlie and Mac, Pat set out to re-affirm the tradition for great BBQ on the corner of Southard St that began in 1995 with the opening of the Meteor Smokehouse. The name also harkens the great Connie Mack stadium, home of the Athletics and later the Phillies until 1970, that was located a few miles from where Pat was born and where his father Pasquale Croce Sr. worked as an usher.
