When Beyoncé released her wildly successful visual album Lemonade in 2016, rumors began to fly regarding infidelity in her and Jay-Z’s marriage. Jay-Z seemingly confirmed the stories in his 13th studio album, 4:44, released a little over a year later. Nonetheless, when several sources including Ticketmaster UK and Facebook jumped the gun and posted in early March about a second On the Run Tour, fans quickly took to the Internet to show their support.
On March 12, Beyoncé herself confirmed that the tour will be happening. The couple took to social media and shared a new video announcing their On The Run II Tour confirming that their marriage has survived and is better than ever before. The tour will stop along 35 major cities across the globe, beginning with 4 shows in the UK on June 6, 2018. The famous duo will make their way through Europe with 11 additional shows, ending in Nice, France.
The North American leg of the tour will kick-off in Cleveland, OH on July 25. Additionally, Miami has been announced as one of the On the Run II Tour destinations along with 20 other cities. Beyoncé and Jay-Z will make their return to Miami on August 31, 2018, and they will be performing at the Hard Rock Stadium. Beyoncé and Jay-Z first joined forces in Miami in 2014 during their original On the Run Tour, which delighted fans with time-tested classics and new material from the studio albums Magna Carta Holy Grail and Beyoncé.
Tickets for the On the Run II Tour are available to the general public beginning Monday, March 19 with the tickets and the rest of the tour dates available here. Both Lemonade and 4:44 have both received critical acclaim, and if the first On the Run Tour was any indication, the follow-up will be a can’t-miss event.
