Red Road Commons is one of the most popular student apartment complexes for UM students, and for good reason. It's a mere 5 minute walk away from the campus and includes amenities like a heated outdoor pool, study rooms, and BBQ grills for those sunny South Florida weekends. Red Road Commons features one, two, and three-bedroom units starting at $1,500 per month.

University Inn Condominiums

The University Inn is another popular choice for off-campus housing. Located across the street from the University of Miami, these condo units are available for rent starting at $1,700 per month for a two-bedroom setup. The condominium features a central pool and courtyard and is within walking distance from the nearby Publix and The Shops at Sunset Place .

Orduna Court  

If you're looking for a convenient housing option in close proximity to UM, the metro-rail, and Coconut Grove, Orduna Court may be for you. Located on South Dixie Highway directly across the street from the University of Miami, this apartment building has 24 recently-renovated units and a resort-style pool. Valencia Condominium is located about a mile and a half south of UM’s campus and contains 301 units ranging from one to four-bedroom options. Ludlam Point Apartments  

Ludlam Pointe is a gated community tucked away off of Ludlam Road in South Miami and may be a better option for students with access to a car or bike as it's two miles away from UM’s campus. With one and two bedroom options starting at $1,600 a month, this apartment complex features on-site parking and bicycle storage and is within walking distance from a nearby Winn Dixie.

109 Tower

109 Tower, located right across from Florida International University, is a true student living environment. With a swimming pool, movie theater, study room, and a computer lab, these apartments offer everything a student could need while they are off campus. This apartment complex features two and four-bedroom setups and start at $930 a person per month.

4th Street Commons  

Located in the same neighborhood as 109 Tower, 4th Street Commons offers another great housing option for the student ready to move off campus but not wanting to commute too far to class. This apartment building is brand new and built with students in mind with studio, one, two, and four-bedroom options, some coming fully furnished.

Vista Verde at Westchester 

For a change of pace, look about half a mile east of Florida International University, where you will find the quieter apartment complex of Vista Verde. Vista Verde is a gated community with a private pool and BBQ amenities. The unit sizes range from studio to one and two bedrooms with rent starting at $1,195 for a studio apartment.
